We are using Tally from Version 5.4. And 2 years ago when we were using tally 7.2, we got a mail from tally solutions regarding the latest version of tally and its features (ie Tally9). The features they said were
* Advance Accounting to manage your accounts
* Advance Inventory to manage your store
* Statutory compliance for VAT, TDS, Service Tax, Dealer excise, Fringe benefit Tax (FBT)
* Payroll to manage employees accounts.
* POS Invoicing with bar code supporting.
We then upgraded to Tally 9 and activated Payroll module. It was all good till the end of that financial year. In the next financial year after splitting the data the payroll module was crashed.
In the new financial year's tally the opening balances of payheads were not allocated to each employees. (ie In financial year 2008 – 09, Under Payhead LOAN closing balance was Rs.5000/-
Its breakup is as follows :-
Employee A :- Rs.1000/-
Employee B :- Rs. 1500/-
Employee C :- Rs. 2500/-
Total :- Rs. 5000/-
After splitting the data in new financial year the loan opening balance will be Rs.5000/- and when we look for the employee wise loan outstanding there wont be any opening balance for employee.)
It was the same situation for all the payheads, no payheads were showing the employee wise opening balances). We complained about the issue 6 or 7 months ago and they have not yet rectified the error.
Now they are sending mail to again split the data for the new financial year. When i asked them about the above issue i got a reply which am pasting below
