We ordered some Jewellery on 29 Jan 12.
The order was for specific item with a Product Code as per Tanishq Product catalogue.
An advance of Rs 81047.00 was given to the Tanishq Store at Gold Souk. 25 days later we were called to collect the item, which turned out to be far from the specifications/design/quality as specified in the catalogue. Since 22 Feb 12, we have been requesting for the refund and the store is refusing the same on some pretext or the other. They have been offering substitute products /schemes but not returning the money. Now they state that their bankers would take 30 days to return the funds which is totally ridiculous as similar refunds from other merchants take just one week.
Clearly the Tanishq people are no better than the Street Jewellers of yesteryears, where it was easy to pay but impossible to get your money back.
