Dear Sir,
This is to bring to your kind attention that I, Sourabh Kumar Modi, had taken admission at TAPMI, Manipal for the MBA Course 2007 – 2009 under the Reg. No. 12393 after paying the fee of Rs.169000.
However, when I was selected at Symbiosis Pune, I cancelled my admission on 8/06/2007, before the commencement of the course at TAPMI, (which was 11/06/2007).
I submitted an application for refund of fees along with my letter for admission cancellation. I have also emailed and personally requested for a refund, but it still hasn’t been done.
As per the notification (Advt. No.AICTE/Legal/04(01)/2007) released by AICTE in April 2007, it is stated that in the case of cancellation of admission before the commencement of a course, the institute can deduct a minimal processing fee and refund the rest of the fee.
I fail to understand how come an institute which operates after approval from AICTE, ignore the directions of AICTE so blatently. I hope that some action will be taken against this erring institute. Do guide me as to how should I go about it so that I can recover my money from the institute.
Yours Sincerely
Sourabh Kumar Modi
