Dear Sir:
We bought the mentioned car from Dhingra Motors in December 2006. We have kept it in very good condition and regular servicing. On the 11th of January 2010 the car just did not start in the evening. It had to be sent to the ABS Workshop in Sector 34, Gurgaon. Following is the events that have taken place since then:
1. We were told that the car has started but stops sometimes and the car would need to be at the workshop for 2 days and cost around Rs.1200.
2. The same evening, we were told that the car's engine needs to be opened and it would cost Rs.15000. We were shocked to know this.
3. The next day we were told that the cost would be Rs.25000.
We are not affluent people and any expenditure of this sort is not something we can afford. We then requested the Tata company to at least provide a standby car so that we do not have to spend money on a cab to be dropped and picked from office. We received a very unfriendly and impolite answer saying that our car is OLD and they cannot provide such service. There has been no attempt on the part of Tata Motors to help us in this situation. My husband suffered a massive heart attack in June and this kind of strain and stress is not helping at all.
We request that pressure be put on Tata Motors to take responsibility for the breakdown (so soon) of such an expensive piece of machinery.
Your intervention and help in this regard would be highly appreciated. Was this information helpful? |
