To whom so ever it may concern. I want to state that today my father went for booking tatkal tickets and he was there before 6:30 a.m. But, when the counter opened and only two people booked there tickets before my father the person in the reservation counter told my father that in tatkal ticket also the status is wating which have no chance of getting confirmed. But, when my father asked the agent to inquire for the same he told that he will get the tickets confirmed and he charged Rs 400 per ticket as commission. NOW THE QUESTION IS ,when there is no seat as per the reservation counter guy then how will the agent cnfirm the tickets at the same moment? It means that either the reservation counter guy is hiding the facts from the passenger and for his monetary benifits he is helping the agent or the tickets were actually booked before 8:00 a.m. today.
This seems that the puplic at large is being cheated by the railway employees and the agents as well. The booking counter people force the general public to book the ticket through agents so that they can also get there share. General puplic cannot pay such high commission/brokerage to the agents and thus has to suffer a lot.
My question is why the railway is troubling the people. There are several hundreds of complaints against railway but, the most problematic situation is when the ticket is not confirmed in spite of being early at the counter also. What is the use of tatkal ticket when it also shows wating list and has no gaurantee to be confirmed without appointing any agent?
