I am a lady who had gone for an interview at TCS office located at Velachery for Non-Voice Process.
After i got through the test and the Hr interview, they sent me to your office at pallavaran ring road
known as chennai 1. The reason they said was since I am more experienced they would like to see if
I can get a better position. After being interviewed at chennai1 by Raj(Team Leader) and
Mr.Srinivas (Manager), they said that HR will give you a call. Mr.Srinivas did not even speak to me for
one minute, then how can he take a decision about me. Normally HR gives you a call to
talk about the salary and to say about the companies rules and regulations. I did not receive any call.
After I contacting Mr.Dominic(HR at Velachery) for nearly two weeks, he told me that I did not get
through the interview. Does it takes two weeks for a manager to tell the person that he/she is not
selected. This is absolutely ridiculous and absurd since during the interview they did not ask me
any such standardized questions. I feel that there is something happening at TCS. I am sure that the
middle level management is not proper. Am not saying about everyone but there are a few whos
partial and takes decisions as per they like. I have heard that at TCS the middle level management, i.e;
the managers dont recommend ladies for promotions or appraisals. More or less TCS middle level
management has become like a people who are working under the government wherein they think
that TCS is owned by them and they can rule it the way they like. Its high time that the board of
directors should look into these and take appropriate decisions. This will hurt the goodwill of TCS.
Though at front you may feel that everything is happening right am sure people inside are egoistic and have partiality.
this is not good for TCS in the long run. There may be so many people who are being rejected by
TCS for no reason.
