Re: Defective “Nicer Dicer” purchased from
From your Company.

1. On seeing a demo of Nicer Dicer on T.V, I and my wife were impressed with its functions even though we have V-Slicer since last 10 years or so.

2. I was directed to one retail outlet at Prime Mall at Irla, Vile Parle (West) since that was nearest one. My wife was shown a demonstration once again wherein she was informed by the proprietor that the Nicer Dicer did not have any complaints and that he has no stocks except the demo piece. Both o[censored]s were impressed and after calling up the Shop keeper two or three times we were shown a piece which was purchased vide Invoice No. M[protected] d/- 21. 11. 08. Before going to this shop my wife had seen a similar product at Alfa which is stone throw away from Prime Mall which was available for Rs 395/-. I asked my wife not to opt for it since it had no guarantee and no local company was selling it though my wife was skeptic about it but I prevailed upon her to go for your Nicer Dicer even though the one available in Alfa 5 had three different round cutting blades/ Jali and was FIVE Times CHEAPER than your product.

3. Within fifteen days of its sparse use (since we have “V Slicer” which we use more) the blades of Small Cutter/Jali twisted. On informing the Dealer, it was replaced by him and I told my wife that this is the difference between one at Alfa and your product. She was convinced.

4. Last week, the blades of other (bigger) Blade/Jali have twisted and on contacting him he informed me that there is no guarantee/ warranty and that I have to pay Rs 500/- towards replacement cost being 50% of actual cost and that is no warranty on replaced Blade/ Jali of even a day. Today morning the smaller blade/ Jali which was replaced as stated in Para 3 above also twisted and the whole Nicer Dicer have become useless in less than 2 months of spare use by my wife.


5. On lodging complaint last week with your Complaint Department on Phone No 25966900/41417000, I have been asked by your authorized representative one Mr. Vivek to pay Rs 1, 000/- for latest version of Nicer Dicer, since the earlier one (which I Purchased less than 2 months earlier) have some inherent technical defect and the Company have now brought a trouble - free (as claimed by him) version of the product. He asked me pay difference of Rs 1, 000/- for the new version and that there is warranty/ guarantee of one year on the new model.


6. When I contacted on your Toll free number [protected], I was surprised when informed that all sales from authorized shops are to be dealt with by the shop-keeper only and the company doesn’t interfere in these matters, which means the shop keeper/s are law unto themselves and the company which claims on T.V to be multi-national one have surrendered themselves to the petty shopkeepers. Why the Company is pushing the defective Nicer Dicer in the market which have proved to be nuisance and have to be replaced so soon with another model. It cannot wash its hands off the defective earlier model and leave customers in the lurch. It is possible that by mutual understanding the shop keepers are allowed by the company to make a killing in replacing the defective part again and again which can be procured by them from open market as by no stretch of imagination the cost of replacing a small blade can be Rs. 1, 000/- when the whole product is available for Rs. 2, 000/- and similar on is available for Rs. 395/-. As informed herein before, I paid 5 times more for your defective model instead of a similar Nicer Dicer available in Alfa 5 (which is also without warranty as compared to your Nicer Dicer which is informed now by your agent shopkeeper to be without warranty) and now I am asked to pay 50% more for the product which has yet to prove itself. This is clear case of misrepresentation and violation of MRTP Act and also against principles of natural justice as no such indication is available on the Invoice or declared on T.V.

Please refund the money to me in the light of above facts which include misrepresentation and do not allow yourself to be dictated by petty shop keepers as they do not loose any thing, it is the Company who looses its reputation.
