i am the Hindu news paper reader form past three years and last year i took 1year subscription (ORDERNO:22053) and recently shifted to a new house so i want the paper to be delivered at my new address (HOUSE NO 10-3-18/10/1, FLATNO 301, SUPRABHA FORTUNE BESIDE PETROL BUNK, ADDAGUTTA, EASTMAREDPALLY, SECUNDERABAD.so i want the paper to be delivered as soon as poosible.

I would like to bring this to everyone notice that a agent by name Devaraj (Cell # [protected]) had collected a Cheque of Rs 444 on 25th January 2014 for a Hindu Bangalore subscription period of 6 months.

Devaraj's verbal commitment for Date of commencement was from 1st Feb 2014, but I haven't received paper till date. Even as per Terms & Conditions, date of commencement should at least start from next cycle (16th Feb 2014) but I haven't received any papers till date.

Is this a new fraud of collecting amount and cheating customers?
Kind request for everyone, not to trust Hindu subscriptions at Bangalore

I am a resident of Besant Nagar, Chennai, Tamil nadu. We took a 6 months package of The Hindu Tamil paper period starts from 16-Mar-2014.

For the past 1 week, we have not received the News Paper even after showing the Renewal-receipt.

I don't know what went wrong!!

We are following The Hindu from our Grand Father days. We are paying English version every month to another agent. We are getting without any problem.

I am a resident of MUDICHUR (Tambaram West). I have a paid a subcription of R333 via ICICI bank cheque and the same has been debited. BUt till date i haven't recieved the newspaper or any message on not issuing it.

Its annoying that such big Publisher has such fradulent happenings . When I try to contact the number of the person who recived the cheque from me, there is no response.
LAter I received an SMS with a customer compliant number in case of any porblem with issung the newspaper, but that in turn is also disappointing . AS THEY DONT EVEN ATTEND THE CALL OF THEIR CUSTOMER.

I'm a 25 years customer of Hindu and business line. We are very much diss-pointed on Hindu Tamil circulation.
We eagerly subscribed Hindu Tamil in the first release. But I have not received the paper 2 days in the weak.
After subscription period over.

I hesitate to continue the Tamil Hindu subscription again the representative convinced me to
subscribe, he promised all issues are solved. But after subscription ch.no.168221 for Rs.599/-
12 march 2014 the cheque already passed in bank on the next day still paper is not received by
us. Already 15 days crossed I have sent email complaint to Hindu also . Spoke
with Hindu office person through the no.[protected] after few follow ups he told
me to contact Mr.venkatesh phone no.[protected], again daily Mr.venkatesh
promised me calling you after 10 minutes, 10 minutes, after 10 days he gave
another phone no he told he is the manager the name of Mr.amarnath phone no.
[protected]. He is promising me he will solve the problem the next day after 5
days the same answer . Daily morning he is asking who are you then he told the
same mobile no I will saw the previous message and take the necessary action
daily he is telling the same but the problem still remains. As a brother of
advocate I will face these kind of problems an ordinary man what will do. I don’t
bother about sending legal notice to Hindu with help of one rupee revenue
stamp. If the problem will not close . I will send legal notice to Hindu also
they are not giving proper response everyday they are promising after 10 minutes
we will contact you. This is the same answer given by the peoples in the
last 8 days what a unprofessional service from this magazine legend really surprised
why the senior personals not taking actions against complaints if it is continues
we have to think Hindu twice even to think.Subscription No.[protected].
Why I'm giving this complaint The Management must watch and take the
necessary action otherwise you will lose your genuine customers for other
supplements also.

THE HINDU — Annual Subscription related

The Hindu, Leading Newspaper cheating public with their annual subscription for Rs 600/-. First they are dbiting our money and distributing their Paper for 2 months and without any notice they stopped.

THE HINDU — spelling mistake

In the "The Hindu" newspaper dated 20 March 2012, on first page the abbreviation for Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP) is misspelled as KKNNP.

In the "The Hindu" newspaper dated 19 March 2012, on 5th page the under CSAT quiz, sub-inspector was misspelled as sub-inspectoer.

Keshav, I have experienced the same problem as you. I stay in Koramangala, Bangalore. They said the subscription will start from August 16. But not a single issue till date. They never answer calls and if at all they do they just say that it will be resolved tomorrow.

A salesman approached me with same offer today, but i was little skeptic about the offer and did not opted for it.

THE HINDU — Non delivery of Newspaper

I had subscribed for "THE HINDU" from the 1st of APril 2010.
i havnt recieved a single copy as yet and its been 14 days today.
Neither have they replied to my mails and
I've called 4times each time no resolution has been provided.

THE HINDU — non delivery of paper

I had paid 6 months subscription for Hindu ,Mangalore edition( Feb1,2011 onwards).Though the agent Mr.Manoj had assured me of the regular delivery of the paper,the paper is now being delivered two or three times a week.I request the concerned authority to take necessary action in this matter so that I can get the paper daily.

I had paid for 1 year subsription, for THE HINDU Visakapatnam edition.there is no regular delivery of the paper, the paper is being delivered twice and thrice a week.this is nothing but cheating the public. so i request your organisation to direct the paper agencyto direct the paper agency to regularly deliver the paper.failing which i will be constrained to take legal action in consumer forum for the default.

I have a similar complaint. The frequency of the paper being delivered is irratic. Last month, in June I missed 3 copies, and this month, as of on this day 2 copies were not delivered. Kindly take up this matter urgently so that the delivery of the newsprint is not broken.
