Sheraton Skyline Hotels and Conference Center, London — Fraudulently Offering jobs and asking for money from the Job seekers

My Name is Umesh Kumar Karn. I am a lawyer. Few days back i received an emal from the e-mail id linesky.[protected]@msn.com stating that there openings in Sheraton Skyline Hotel in London and also asking to send them the CV which i did. on the very next day i got an application form and interview form from them stating to fill them and send them back to the management of the hotel on the given e-mail id. I did that also and the moment i did that i got a declaration form from the management stating to fill up that declaration and send it back to Mr. Lam Pard Morgan along with all the scanned copy of the passport, birth certificate and all the academic certificates it was also mentioned in the mail that i have to send all the documents within 12 hours and i also have to pay £ 300 i.e. Rs.26100 to them for working visa fee.
Today morning i received a call from Mr. Lam Pard Morgan stating the same thing that i have to send him all the documents so that he can arrange the working visa for me and the tickets as well he also stated that he will speak with the management and will generate my salary.

The main fact is its not that much easy to get job in UK and when Sheraton Skyline is based in London why they are hiring employees from India or from some other countries. Moreover even if we will get a job offer from UK we are not liable to pay working Visa fee that is the sole responsibility of the employer and it takes good 1 month at least to complete all the formalities including verification of the candidate. which is not the case here.and if i am still in India how can they just send me the tickets and working visa without any personal or telephonic interview. Lam Pard Morgan is calling me from the number [protected] he also states that he is the member of British High Commission.

I think these guys are playing some prank with innocent people and trying to cheat them.

Its a humble request please take strict action against these people so that they can never cheat anyone in future.

Umesh, this is a doubt to cheat you of your money without doubt. However, this is a 'scam' - something like the Nigerian Letter - google for more info.

Sheraton Skyline Hotel has got absolutely nothing to do with it. The mail originated from linesky.[protected]@msn.com which is a free e-mail id that anyone can create. Only e-mails that comes from the organization's own domain are authentic. It is also possible to send e-mails by frauds which seem to be from an authentic id. So please consider every unsolicited mail with utmost caution.

It is always wise to cross-check an email that claims to be from an organization by e-mailing to the organization itself to an authentic id that is shown in its website and ask them to confirm whether they really did send you a mail.

You can safely delete any unsolicited mail that comes from an email service provider's domain (like hotmail, msn, gmail, yahoo etc.) offering you job and stuff. And if an email ever asks you for money, be sure that it is to cheat you.

It is true they make fool out of people just by sending them mails and giving phone nos and when you call them they even pick up to reaffirm that yes they are genuine but it is all crap and i would request all readers to note one basic think shereton group is know n by starwood hotels and every company mail id always ends with their company name as example [protected]@starwoodhotels.com you cannot receive official mails from gmail or yahoo or live.co.uk or msn make a note .

My son received an appointment letter as stated by Mr. Umesh, I felt this could be a scam because there was no Sheraton logo on any of the letters and mail is sent from Gmail ID. Any how, we are safe by the Grace of Almighty. Any star hotel will not select an employee without an interview or if you have applied a job then they may send you an interview invitation to meet some one in your city.
