We had booked a US tour with Thomas Cook, right from the start I had informed the head office and branch where I booked, that we require a deviation for London on our way to the US. We were told that their flights are via the Middle East and as such no deviation is possible. To my utter surprise the e tickets handed over to me just two days before departure for the US on 9-5-11 were Mumbai-Brussels-New York and back by the same route. The said tickets were purchased in our name on 18-4-11, so the company had sufficient time to arrange for our deviation. In fact we were not informed about the flight details nor any action taken by the company. We could easily have taken deviation to London from Brussels at a cost of a few thousand rupees. Now we will have to spend not less than Rs.1.5 lakhs for airtickets for going to London. We demand that Thomas Cook should compensate us for the airfare as because of their inefficiency and illmanagement we were denied the deviation on false information. In fact we have been deceived in this saga. Was this information helpful? |
