Total Mall, Sarjapur — Furniture Complaint and Response
I am an un-satisfied customer of Total Mall, Sarjapur. We ordered aSofa from the Total of Rs 38750/- and around 10 days delivery time was
told to us after the payment. But your people failed to deliver on the
committed date. And no further information was given to us. We waited
at home taking leave for 2 days, still the sofa didn't come. With many
times calling and enquiring finaly the sofa was delivered. But some
damages happened to it during the delivery . And they told it will be repaired in 1 week.
Now its almost 2 months and no one from Total came to repair it. I
have been calling them from past 1 week and daily he tells he will send someone. Being such a big reputed group this kind of customer service is very disappointing.
Same case with me...I booked a computer chair on 18/06/2011 and promised date of delivery is 3rd July. As i am writing this i realise that they dont have stock and want to push the dates (No defenite dates given yet). Worst part is that no one ever bothered to call and inform the delay inspite of 5 follow up calls from my end. Very unfortunate such reputed group loosing out on the service. Can some one pass on the escalation procedure..i am even ready to take it to the consumer forum if escalation do not work
Completely agree - they have staff who are conman, each of them give their own price discounts on products to gauge the customer reaction. We were looking for a sofa and asked 3 salesman how much it was and each of them giving different prices (14k, 10k, 12k) . When we said ok, we will buy it, they hike up the price (saying oh im sorry that was last week's price) or delivery date will take 15 days unless you pay extra. The products themselves are of very very very low quality. Please be careful here before buying any thing especially furnitures, toys etc. Also in the general store, the items on sales are pathetic rejects and sold bundles under the guise of discounts.
Everyone harasses you from the sales man to the security to the delivery boy - we ordered a tv and fridge - the sales man harassed us to make a purchase immediately - the security guy harassed us to show all the bills - the delivery guy harassed us saying, im delivering at this time, if you are not there, i will just go off. Over all a super pathetic experience at total mall, sarjapur road.

On March 3rd 2012, challan number 747, I ordered for a sofa set at sarjapur road branch. Anand was the executive. they promised to deliver on 19th March 2012.
On 19th when i called them, they said, give us a day we will deliver by tomorrow morning. I said ok and stayed home to take delivery. No one showed up and after repeated calls to the executive he gave me some other numbers to coordinate. when i spoke to another person he said the Computers in Total were not working, hence they cannot do delivery. Said the sofa set was all ready and as soon as they can take a printout will deliver the sofa. This is such a sham, I never understood how computers not working (and where the computers not working for the whole day) would stop sofa delivery.
The next day on wednesday when i called them, they again made me go all around and the place and call different numbers. Then on wednesday they started saying there was no sofa. when i told that yesterday they said sofa was ready they said ..oh yes we got but it is damaged. and after lot of talking they said will definitely deliver on Thursday.
on thursday as usual no body called so again i did a follow up from after noon, first called anand couple of times. Then around evening one person from total called ([protected]) and said will deliver by 7.30pm and asked if I would be home. I had stayed whole day at home hoping it would be delivered in the morning and said ofcourse will be home in evening. Untill 8.30pm still there was no delivery so called again and the same person said it is on way, and will be delivered within 15 minutes.
it is 10.25 pm now and all the total people have turned off their phones. I am trying to call them since about 9.30 pm and still no delivery. This is absolutely ridiculous.
They are giving such horrible excuses and total dis regard of commitment. It is two days i had to stay back home waiting for delivery of sofa.
I think I should have gone by all the online comments about Total's service, but thought it being neighbourhood mall we will purchase here. But all the online comments have come true. The service and attitude is horrendous.
I had enough of the drama and need a refund.

I too agree with the quality of furnitures displayed for sale. Furnitures look eloquent but poor quality. I have narrated my experience below:
We bought 2 nos of computer chairs (Zuari make: HW40655)) from Total Mall. The chairs were booked on 15.11.2010 and against their bill No:[protected], the full payment of Rs.8580/- was made. They had promised to deliver the stock on 25.11.2010 but could not and sought time till 2.12.2010. Accordingly, they delivered the chairs on 2.12.2010. Out of two chairs, one chair slips down when we sit on it. We wonder as how a company can supply stocks to customer without proper quality check? We are also shocked to see TOTAL MALL markets such products in their counter as this would damage the reputation of Total Mall.
We are representing through your forum and request either Total Mall or Zuari to rectify the defect or replace the chair without delay.
