I am a resident of Duabi and my my wife and 2 children live in Chennai. In the month of March they applied for a tourist visa to UK. Even after 3 weeks the visa was not getting sanctiones. Due to this delay my wife started corresponding with UK in Chennai by mail. Since there was no response from them reagrding the reasons for delay or whether the visa will be sanctioned or not she applied for withdrawal of the application. the passport was returned in 2 days time with a stamp - "AWD" meaning Application With Drawn.
As per their plan she applied for Schengen Visa to go to Paris. But this was also returned without visa. We are told by travel agent that it is difficult to get any visa for my wife and children since there is an AWD stamp in their passports. I am really concerned about this.
If this is true it is against any natural justice. UK embassy never asked for any further supporting documents and kept the passports for 4 weeks. Since the holiday plans were getting upset my wife withdrew the application. We can not be penalised for this by all embassies. Is there any thing I can do to remedy the situation.
Your advice will be highly appreciated.
