Union Bank of India — Car Loan mishandling
Dear Madam/Sirs,Have opened a car loan ac in Sept 2008 when the rate of interest (roi) that was communicated and documented was 11.50%. This was raised unlateraly to 12.25% without any kind of intimation. Also, further my savings account was debited for the amounts of Rs 2741.7, Rs. 41, Rs. 898.3 without having intimated me. When i discussed this matter with the branch officials, i was promised that this error in rate would be set right. However few months from then, i received a letter from the bank stating that the rate was changed with retrospective effect, and asked for permission to increase my EMI amount, which for obvious reasons i refused in a reverting letter.
Also please take note that every month my a/c is debited by Rs. 2/Rs. 3 towards penal charges which remains unexplained to me so far. This type of service from such a reputed bank in inadmissible and i refuse to pay any extra amount beyond what is documented in agreements. Request you to kindly take note of these facts and assist me resolving my reasonable demand for reversal and refund extra and unprecedented charges extorted from my a/c and restore my roi.
