I agree we need to form a group. But most o[censored]s are staying abroad, how to proceed? I am based in Dubai, but willing to share the cost of litigation only will not be able to be present for court proceeding. Can anyone staying in India take the lead?

I am planning to buy one resale from Unitech Heights, T-9.
Can anyone shade some light if there was any problem?
I can see from Ledger, HDFC rejected one installment(last but final) in 2009. there is interest since then accrued to 2.43 lac yet to be paid by owner.
Also seller has informed Rs 5/sq feet penalty from 2009, to be 5.5 lac during handover.
I am curious why HDFC rejected cheque. HDFC is giving me any info. Unitech is saying its owners fault.
Can anyone suggest?

Even I have recently purchased a resale flat in tower2 of Harmony (Kolkata) and even I am facing similar issues with regards to delay in construction, while purchasing I was duped by my broker Kolkata Properties saying that the possession will happen by 2 years, but now after enquiring from different sources, we are coming to know of the harsh reality ..I completely admit that it was my mistake to not do a proper market research before buying and simply trusting the broker.
Having said that can we all get together and from an association across all projects (Harmony, Cascades, etc) and build pressure on unitech.

I have booked a flat in Cascades, Uniworld, Kolkata by paying 95% upfront way back .
I met the company officials including CEO of Bengal Unitech Universal very recently( 25th March, 2014) . The expected date of delivery is beyond 2016 . They are offering lower end flats in lower floors and also charging at current market rate ( according to them ) for additional space .
I am initiating following actions ( Finalised a team in Kolkata and Delhi in consultation with political leadership ) :
1. Criminal proceedings against company officials .
2. Consumer court complaint seeking loss of rent, mental agony in addition to return of deposit with 18% per anum interest and cost of litigation .
3. Approaching Competition Commission seeking inspection into unfair business ( promoter being dominant ) practices .
4.Media coverage ( Press, Electronic and Social Media )
It will be nice to be joined by similarly placed customers as the campaign can then be taken to National Commission straightway . Please write to me at [protected]@gmail.com giving details .

Hi, I am in the same boat - bought a flat in Tower 2 (fresco) with delivery 2013. It appears that unitech is not progressing and is not providing status updates. What actions can be taken to address this to ensure companies like this do not dupe their customers and get away with it.

For Fresco tower 6, they have already send the demand for Installment which is " After completion of all plumbing work." Is it the real status? can anybody confirm this please.

Recent gurgaon case was lost by Unitech. I have contacted the buyer association. He said he can provide me good lawyer to lodge case against Unitech in NCDRC. But we need to form a group of 25-30 fellow buyers. So come out & lets form a group.

We have booked a flat in cascade Tower 10...original posession deadline was 2010...but it looks like it will not get delivered before 2020..if at all we get the posession..recently we visited the site..but construction work has been stopped completely...we need to make a pressure group...otherwise even delivery of flats looks like a distant dream...

I am very happy with the idea of forming an association to teach a lesson to Unitech. I live overseas too. When I visit Kolkata, I get limited time to see or talk to somebody in their office. Since 2007 (when we bought the property in cascade), their attitude has completely changed. Worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I want to be a part of your group. Please let me know how to proceed.
