I wanted to know about the weight loss program at Vibes, so I walked in the Girish Park branch on 17.04.2012 at around 8:20 p.m. I was astonished to see that in such a competetive market when businessman run out of enquiries, these people were hardly bothered to handle an enquiry that walked in to their branch. Everyone was busy winding up their data and work and were willing to leave the office for the day.
Initially one lady in frontoffice, they reffered to her as "MOU" (I think so), asked me about the query.As I told I wanted to know about work out programs, she asked me to sit in the waiting area and ignored, probably because they didnt provide workouts, rather they provided machine weight loss.
Then a lady came out, and looked at me as if I had done some sin by coming to their office after 8p.m.She asked MOU in bengali - "eta ki enquiry??",
she replied in a not interested manner - "Yes".
They didnt get back to me,I was still waiting.Then a lady came out , most probably a counsellor, with her purse in her hand, I think she was leaving for the day.Mou asked her to take care of my queries. She started talking to me in the mean while one customer came to meet her. So she went just like that without handing over the enquiry to anyone, she was very happy and took the customer in the room, may be beacuse the customer was suppose to pay them, and I was not.
Then Mou told me that if you have to go for weight loss, you have to register today itself and pay the whole money.Then only she was willing to talk to me about their program.Also, if you are not registering you have to pay Rs200 +tax as a mandatory charge for counselling, otherwise they wont talk to you.I only wanted to know the packages, offers and charges, I didnt want counselling , but still they were busy winding up their workstations instead of talking to a prospective customer.I am sure ,if i would have gone in the time of month end when these sales ppl have to meet their targets they would have given all the counselling for free and forced me to take the registeration on any condition.
I am happy that I could see this kind of behaviour from them just at the time of enquiry and not after registering.Otherwise, ppl who can behave like this with their prospective customers can do anything once they convert the enquiry.
This message is specially for their supervisors and heads of Vibes, kindly look into the behavorial skills and aggressiveness of the sales guys you have recruited for your front offices.Otherwise this kind of word of mouth of your customers will do nothing but ruin your business.
If Girish Park management have guts, contact me, otherwise ignore.
