Hi,
I Have been using my vodafone number past 5 years but due to unavoidable circumstances i was not using my number from last few months.I had used my number last was in the first week of December. The in January i decided to use number regularly and i realized that there was no service on my phone. I immediately called vodafone customer care and told them about the issue. They told me that its a new number and i should submit my documents to activate it. I conveyed to them that i have that number past 5 years so its not a new number. They did not have answer to it but they told me to just resubmit documents to the nearest vodafone store and number would be activated. I went to vodafone store and told the issue to the executive. But he told me that the number has been recycled and allotted to someone else. I was disappointed and asked then how could they do so. He told if the number is not active for 45 days it will be recycled. I then tried calling that number to check who has been allotted with my number. Luckily the number was still out of service,so i called customer care again and told them that it looks like number is still not been allotted so i would wanted my number back and i am ready to submit all documents. So they told then i can go to the vodafone store and submit all documents and request for a duplicate sim. But when i went to the vodafone store the executive told me that number is in idle state and is allotted some Gulbarga store so he cant help it.
I am really disappointed with Vodafone for this as they did not bother to intimate me even through mail. Just to get new customers they cannot just ignore existing customers. I have all my banks connected to me through my vodafone number. Even my bank statements go to that number.And also i have some professional connection connected only through that number.As the number is not yet allotted to any person i am sure vodafone should be able to give my number back to me. Vodafone — PHONE NUMBER ALLOCATED TO OTHER CUSTOMER WITHOUT INTIMATION
MY PHONE [protected] WAS SUSPENED WITHOUT INTIMATION AFTER ACEEPTING THE LAST PAYMENT. THE NUMBER WAS PAID ADVANCE RENTAL FRO 3 YEARS. NOW THE NUMBER IS ALLOTED TO OTHER PERSION. CUSTONER CARE EXECUTIVES TALK IN BITTER AND NON COOPERATIVE WAY , SPECIALLY. MR. SUSHANT. AM GOING TO FILE COMPLAINT TO COSNUMER FORUM FOR THIS.
