[Resolved]  Yun Nam Hair Care Centre — Bad Service on the staff

RE: Complaint Letter

I saw Yun Nam’s advertisement on the paper so I decided to sms for the trial treatment and told my friend about it. One of the officers called me and made an arrangement for us to go down.
My friend and I went to Yun Nam at Tiong Bahru Plaza branch on 22nd May 2010, sat at 630pm to seek for treatment trial and our consultant was Ms Shirley Tan. She was patient at first and told us about our conditions and package offer to us.After she knew that we are not taking the offer that on that day we felt that she wasn’t patient to us on the package.
She finally let us tried on the trial and after the streaming, she told us to go in to one of the consultation rooms. Another consultant, Ms Janice Cheong told us whether we knew the package that Ms Shirley mentioned earlier on. At first she is patient but after she heard that we need to consider about the package, She was not patient anymore. She started raising voices at us that “NO POINT” coming down that night. My friend told her that yes, you are right no point. Although, we raise our voice at them first but that doesn’t mean that you as a consultant can raise their voice to customer. No choice, she went out of the room. We heard some laughter outside the room.
We just want to try the trial first and decide to sign the package later on. We, as a customer know if a company can get service award meaning the consultants must be patient, friendly and helpful toward their customers and must not keep on pushing sales on us.(The attitude they given to us that we must sign up a package before we leave) . Does that mean anyone who go for a trial treatment must sign up for a package on the spot and we, as a consumer do not have the right to consider about it.
And lastly, they issue us the traveler kits, but the consultant, Ms Shirley Tan did not even bother to tell us which one was belonging to us and how to use it She just put it in the plastic bag.
She was telling us that new customer signing new package with them is S$1600 for 10 times and exiting customer has to pay for $1800.
I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed on the services that they had given to us. We suggest that you coach Ms. Shirley Tan and Ms Janice Cheong in proper customer relations. Their behavior does not reflect positively on Yun Nam.
Please call me before 15 Jun 2010 with confirmation that our requests will be honored. If I don't hear from you, I will report you to the appropriate regulatory.

Anyone know who can we write to complaint on YUNAN. My friend signed up for the package and was always paster to sign up more so that the treatment will be more effective. She was cheated again the 2nd time and realised it just don't work as her white hair did not improve and was asked to dye her hair there instead. The consultant explained to her she cannot be too stress to see the result. But by with the aggressive selling attitude customer will be stressed with every visit. She was attended by the 3rd consultants due to turnover of staff of transfer of staff to other branch. Again was pastered to sign up for 3rd treatment. However, due to past experience she longer can trust them and refused to increase her package. The result of this is sulk attitude from the consultant (steps for treatment cut and reduced herbal tonic applied) and when she threaten to complaint to the management, the consultant pleaded her and tried to gain sympathy by saying management will deduct her pay. I conclude Yunan is not a place with trained professional consultant, aggressive selling tatics and lousy service.
I have same bad experience from one of their consultant rebecca tan. She is the who convinced me ti sign up for them. But she was not my official consultant at first. But my original consultant went for a long vacation. So thet assigned me different consultants every appointment. I always wait for about 30 mins. Before they can assist me, and i am so pissed off. Then there was this one time. Ms. Rebecca tan do the service for me i haved noticed that i havent felt the relaxation by her service to rub and shampoo my hair too lousy. I can feel rhe difference from those previous consultants that they do treatment for me well like they do massage at the same time but this ms. Rebecca won't even matter to massage! We all know how expensive we pay for them so it is natural that we expect to have relaxation every session! I heard they had undergone training. I hope they will also train then hoe to treat equal to their customers. I still have more sessions left i hope i will no longer feel that way towards their service. Or else i will never recommend them to anyone or even worse tell other people that they don't give good service.

I am also utterly disappointed with poor services provided by Yun Nam at Jurong Point. I went there for trial treatment with my sister. Their sales consultant, Chris Koh was very rude and started raising voice at us when we refused to sign up package. We told them to give us more time to consider. But she was starting to curse us that our hair problem will become worse and sooner will go back to them (even in front of other sales consultant). She was so sarcastic and mean. My sister and me felt seriously offended. I would NEVER go back to them ever again, eventhough my trial voucher entitle for 2 treatment. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone or even worse I will share my bad experience with other people.

I hope YUN NAN will take this problem seriously. If not, we should really highlight their poor services to other consumers.

Anyone knows other way to make effective complaint? Please advice.
Yes, Yun Nam is indeed a money sucker shop. They push you to buy a package, when the package has not even ended, they tell u buy more stuff, saying the original package is very basic, for effective treatment u need more lotions. When the consultants need to meet their targets, they will service u personally and be nice to you, then they follow up with a review in which time they will push more products to u. if you refuse, they will say the original treatment is not strong enough, u need to buy more enhanced products to be effective. when the sales consultant do not need to meet targets, u will be serviced by just a shampoo girl.
their treatments are very costly, 20 session can cost $3, 0000 onwards. One bottle of tunic, they can quote you $250 per bottle, after bargaining, can come down to less than $100 or lesser. If you manage to buy it below $100 per bottle, beware, they will attack u another session to sell u more enhanced products as their target per customer is very high.

For me, I'd prefer to analyse things from different perspectives, I think yunnam does not solely run on a basic paying scheme, there seems to be running on both basic paying and commission scheme. And agents/ hair consultants have the flexibility or are entitled to charge a significant amount higher than the base price as part of their flexible commission, meaning these consultants can offer packages at their now disposal. Im a customer at yunnam at the moment and i found the entire system extremely suspicious. There wouldn't be any incentive for them to work so hard to push the products to customers if there wasn't any benefit entitled to them. For instance, if you are only receiving a basic for whatever you're doing as a retail or as a basic paying employee, how and why on earth would you be working so hard to get your point across? There must be a reason and we should analyze it from different perspectives calmly. And from a number of cases, I realized that the consultants are allowed to make the decision to offer discounts base on different customers. How can there be such leeway if there's a standard price to every package that is offered? I think Yun Nam oughts to be more transparent with the customers on the types of packages and prices that are entitled to customers.
Yun Nam is a terrible place to go. All of the sales person are devils in black dressess. They only wanted you to sign even you just 2-3 times consumed your packages. I am very regret to have this experience. They treated you like a when you do not want to sign up the next packages. I lost my money there since I do not want to go there for consuming my remaining treatments. I have already discussed with my lawyer to handle this matter. We paid so much money, we have right to be treated well until our last treatment since we have paid for the treatment. It does not have any relation with new packages. Hopefully, no many peoples have the same experience with me.
Agreed that the services provided by Yun Nam is very bad and the consultant is super pushy on their sales. I had attended 3 session and in each session, the consultant would bring me into a small room and pestered me to either buy tonic or sign up more session, saying current package would be insufficient to see results. I bought tonic on the first 2 session, spending more than $6k on the tonic. When I told the consultant not to be so pushy, she scolded that she is not trying to push sale, she's just trying to help me. The 3rd time I went, she started to pester me again. When I refused, the consultant immediately show black face and scolded me, after which she get their shampoo girl to attended to me. Every time i went there, i felt so stressed!!! Really BAD EXPERIENCE!!!
Bad service from YUNNAN HEARTLAND MALL BRANCH. It seems nowhere to complain, anyone knows where can I complain to?
Dont't go Yun Nam (heartland mall branch). I had a bad day there. Bought a coupon thinking I could get a free consultation, free hair treatment and a shampoo. In the end, all I got is a scolding from them. Their consultant, Elvon was very rude, didn't greet at us and introduction who she was, sat down in the consultation room trying to sell off the package. She keep bugging us on why we come when starting we refused to get any package, so out of curiosity and wanting to save the hair we started asking question about the package. After thinking through we refused to sign any package and she started raising voice at us, saying we are liars, waste her time only, asks us to take out either cash, cards and tell us that whatever we say are recorded in CCTV. Thereafter, I wasn't in the mood so I decided to give up the hair treatment then she said, I had to pay for the consultation fee. So I went on doing the treatment. Even though my voucher entitle for 3 treatment. I will never ever go back there again. They are so pushy, still expects us to recommend to other people with that kind of attitude.
I think yunnan at tampines is not good either. Had got a consultation with this lady name shers tan and the cigarette smell on her was so bad and even smell of like she had bling drinking the night before, the bad smell of liquor! Attitude was good as well!
YUNAM HAIR CARE IS CHEATING OUR MONEY, I WENT TO SEE DOCTOR, HE SAID MY HAIR IS NORMAL, THEN WHY DO I NEED TO KEEP DOING TREATMENT? I THOUGHT CAN STOP ALREADY, JUST PAY BACK THE MONEY YUNAM HAIR CARE!!! HELLO, IF MY HAIR NO PROBLEM, WHY DO I NEED TO DO? VERY ANNOYING THEM, GIVE SUCH A UNREASONABLE EXPLAINATION!~
For those who are facing hair loss problem, I advise u guys to use Har Vokse ... This hair care product is manufactured from UK and it really helps to u to stimulate hair growth ... I'm using it now and I start to c the result after one month. As for Yun Nam I been there before many years back, it is true that they will keep persuading customers to purchase their package which cost around 10k ...In order to keep your hair healthy, u have to continuously purchase their package... After spending 20k on them, I still couldn't resolve thinning hair problem ... Har Vokse it may be costly but comparing to Yun Nam it still consider cheaper ... after purchasing the product, it is guaranteed that u can send it back to them i[censored] feel unhappy with the product ...
