[Resolved]  Cottage Arts Emporium Madura — Miss selling - making an agreement and breaking an agreement

We ordered and paid for a rug in Feb. and agreed a price of £2, 5000 approximately 250, 000 Rupees I was told the carpet was being sent insured by DHL to England - (1 Victory Fields, Frome Road, Bradford on Avon, BA151PD) and when I asked for re-assurances that all I needed to pay on delivery of the carpet was going to be between £50 and no more the £70 I was told by Cottage Arts Emporium Madurai sales person this was the case. In fact I was assured twice in the shop and I have witnesses. I was also assured by the man who I paid in the hotel that my total cost because of the exchange would be less than £2, 500 - After protracted discussion and an explanations of how I would only pay between £50 and £70 my wife signed the paper work I am disgusted by the deception of Cottage Arts Emporium Madurai deceptive ways of selling and with the Indian way of doing business
