My name is Zainab Shabbir Khambaty. I had a confirmed ticket for me and my family from Burhanpur to Secunderabad on 10 February 2021 in train no. 07019 in B2 compartment. I was travelling with my aged In-Laws
My husband and my two small children. When we checked the live tracking on the CONFIRM TKT app to see if the traiin was on time, it clearly showed that the train was delayed by almost 2 hours with the arrival time at Burhanpur station being 2:14pm. Accordingly, we reached the station at 1:15 pm only to be told the train had already left Burhanpur station at 12:35 pm.
Imagine our shock when we realised we were stranded at the station with aged parents and 2 young children.
We met the Station Master who also checked the CONFIRM TKT App on his phone and expressed shock and surprise on seeing that the arrival at Burhanpur station was being shown as 2:14 pm even though the train had already left Burhanpur station at 12:35pm.
I was not having any other means to get back to Secunderabad. Finally I had to hire a private car at exorbitant rate as there was no other train for a week to Secunderabad.
I request the Indian Railways to compensate me for mental agony caused and to refund me the full amount paid (₹6960)
