I was stopped near the Traffic light of Huda City center metro on the side of sushant lok-1, I crossed the Traffic light which was yellow when I overtook it,
The officer instructed me to show all car documents with driving licence which were given to him, after that he took my driving licence and charged me a sum of 1100 rupees which I didn't have at that time and on asking what is my offense he told me it was jumping a traffic light but he challaned me for dangerous driving and lane marking offence (Section 26, 35) claiming that it is the law when you jump a traffic light, he again told me that if i don't pay the money I have keep my licence there and I'll get it back from court after 3 months. In a time where there is cash shortage and all ATM's weren't working he traumatized me and forced me to sign the challan. I had a female friend with me, so he told me if I didn't sign it he would confiscate my car. He talked to my father and told him that he is fining me for traffic light violation only but he cheated and wrote something else and didn't let me read and forced me to sign. He talked to me in a very harassing way, the safety of my female friend was also in mind.
I'm a student and he took advantage of me being young and not knowing the law, such policeman are disgrace to the good one's. I hope my complaint is resolved otherwise I'll have a permanent mark on my licence.
