Delhi Development Authority [DDA] — blockage of sewer line shree awas (l&t) sec 18b dwarka

Sir,
I am residing in DDA Flats, Shree Awas (L&T) for the last 3 years. Being a responsible citizen of India I am have been paying taxes levied by centre and Local bodies viz. Income Tax, Property Tax etc.

Society in which I am residing is DDA society and still is not handed over to Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). It means basic civil amenities is handled by Delhi development Authority (DDA). But of late it has been noticed that DDA is ignoring its responsibility of providing basic civic amenities like maintenance and cleanliness of sever lines in the society, maintenance and repair in the society etc. But the most important is cleanliness and removal of blockage of sever line in the society. Often residents of the society is facing problem due to blockage of sever line filthy drainage water is overflow from the manholes and spreading out on the streets. Further from many points, Cement Slabs are broken from the sewer drains causing mosquitoes and other insects infestation. I made complaint to RWA but they informed that at present DDA is not listening to their complaint. This situation causes health hazard to natives of the society.

At present sever line behind my flat (506) is overflowing and filthy smell is spreading out in the air. To resolve this issue, I first made a complaint to Sever Control Department of Delhi Jal Board. They attended my complaint but informed that this is not under their purview as DDA has not handed over this society to them, so complaint may be lodged to DDA authority.

In view of this I humbly request you to make immediate arrangement to remove the blockage in the sever line of Flat No 493 to 516 in Shree Awas (L&T), Sector 18 B Dwarka, New Delhi-. Further some permanent arrangement may also be made in place so that residents may not face this problem in future. Helpline No for Sever and other complaints may also be provided to me and office bearers of the society so that in case of need they can contact.
