Sub:- wrong challan/ traffic violation notices - reg.
Dear sir,
To my utter surprise and shock, i received two (2) messages on the early hours of 28.09.2019 through delhi traffic police message service “ advaahan”, through the messages i came to know that i have been issued 02 challan notices by delhi traffic police for over speed compounding rs. 400/- per challan in respect of my car (Vehicle no. Dl1cr 5554) on 3rd & 15th august 2019 at the stretch - carriageway from akshardham to sarai kale khan near just before yamuna bridge towards ring road and carriageway from sarai kale khan to akshardham near just after yamuna bridge towards akhshardham vide notices no. 23377599/nb (T) dated 08.08.2019 & 23581647/nb (T) dated 19.08.2019 respectively
No violation proof is found attached with the said notices. I am working as an officer with govt. Of india & commuting on the same stretch since 1997. I would liked to submit here that i have been never challaned for any traffic violation during past 28 years of driving. As a law abiding citizen, imperatively, i drive as per the norms only. It seems that there is a lapse on the part of speed detectors on the said stretch as the permissible speed limit is 70 kmph which is higher in contrast to the normal speed limit of 50 kmph across delhi with some exceptions.
I request to the senior officers of delhi traffic police to look in the matter expeditiously as there is voluminous grievances of wrong challans over the above stated/said stretch and further, requested to withdraw the said challans issued against me at the earliest.
