Dear Sir,

Attached is the copy of a fixed deposit advice which my father opened in favor of my sister in August 2002 for Rs. 1.0 lac for 3 months period at NAGAR (Dist.) Bharatpur - Rajasthan branch (Branch code 10070). the FD was in auto renewal mode, we somehow could not get encashed it on the due date of maturity, which now we presented this month for payment.

on this the branch manager was unsure for the calculation of the right maturity amount, which after few enquiries in bank system by himself it was told to us that the interest for the original FD period would be given at the rate of agreed FD interest rate, which was 6.25% and for the rest of the period thereafter it would be paid at the rate of saving bank account which is 3%, which we denied to accept, the branch manager was also referring for some SBBJ circular no. MEMO/71/14-15 dated Aug. 07, 2014 and one related RBI instruction on DEAF Scheme 2014 in this respect.

Request you to pls. advise us in the respect what is right and get this FD encashed at the right calculation.
