Address: Mumbai Bombay Hospital |
My Father was admitted to Bombay Hospital and from the day one his treatment was cashless but as per Hospital rules we have given deposit amount and after few days treatment my Father died and now its more than four months still they have not refunded my excess deposit. When i am contacting the Billing accounting team they told me to contact Marketing department and when i contacted marketing department they told they have not done the reconciliation due to which we are not able to identify which payment is yours Kindly provide us the UTR details of the payment made by TPA. As per rules TPA have to pay the claim amount with in 40 -45 days maximum so they paid the amount to hospital but due to lazy staff of Bombay Hospital they are not taking interest in reconciliation . Hospital is enjoying the interest free deposit of patient. This is very illogical that they are not doing reconcilation assume 100 patient deposit average Rs 10000 per month which is 10 lakhs and for four month deposit 40 lakhs which hospital is enjoying interest free by just saying that we have not done reconcilation or we have not received payment details from TPA . in practical world do any hospital wait for four months if payment not received from TPA. on all this Deposit's a notional interest should be charged under income tax act 1956 and also if Deposit amount not paid to paitent they should be paid with interest if any.
This is unjustice to the patient and more favour given to Hospital even if they are providing service to ill people that doesnt means that they have right to enjoy all this benefits . Was this information helpful? |
