I have a Hob and Chimney installed in the year Mar 2023 in my house at Mumbai. The Hob was giving constant trouble during usage. Twice the burners were replaced within warranty period. Servicing technician's charged for their visits. When asked for Annual Maintenance we were not provided with proper agreement/payment details. On 25/12/2023 there was smell of gas leakage, and had closed the cylinder valve. When had to use the Hob had turned the cylinder valve and lighted the burner. In a few seconds there was a blast/noise and vessel fell down. All the knobs had uprooted. Related parts of the Hob were affected to various extent. Me and my family members were around there. Luckily no one got any injury nor any serious damages to other areas in my kitchen. The Technician had immediately inspected and informed there was a leakage in the Dual valve system which is within the enclosure of the Hob, therefore, only slight smell of gas could be felt. I can only think if there would have been enormous amount gas accumulated in the Hob enclosure, what a fatality it would have caused to us. Elica officials are claiming that Hob is beyond 2 years warranty period. Dual valve will be replaced free since within warranty, however, other parts are chargeable. I have immediately replaced this with a standard gas stove, considering the safety of working in the kitchen. Packed of Elica Hob & left it on the loft. I am totally dis-satisfied with the after sales-services and the product performance itself. My request for replacing/refunding the purchase cost of this Hob is not being considered by the company.
