Good day.
We have been cheated by express world wide courier and cargo by moving cargo by rail instead of air after collecting the
Charges for air shipment from us.
On 19th nov we have enquired thru just dial for moving 13 boxes of cargo (Each box size was 23”x23”x24”) by air from
Andheri east, mumbai to chennai airport.
We received a call from mr. M. P. Jaiswal introduced himself as owner of express world wide courier and cargo, having his office in
A16, ground floor, kamdar shopping centre, vile parle east, opp. Station, tejpal road, mumbai 400057.
For sending this cargo by air he quoted us rs.60 per kg plus gst at 18% and fuel charge at 15%, and promised us to deliver the cargo by next day, basis we agreed for his terms and asked him to pick up the cargo on 20th nov and to deliver at chennai on 21st nov.
Initially he charged us rs. 42012 (Cargo volume weight as 516 kgs (39.7kgs per box) @rs.60 per kg plus 18% gst and 15% fuel charge/ ie 516*60=30960*18% gst 5572 plus 15% fuel charge on 36532 =5572, total 42012) and pressurized us to send the payment immediately to book the flight space by mail, upon his mail we have transferred to his current account with kotak mahindra bank of rs.42012 on 20th nov/ 05.35 pm and by around 7.00 pm on the same day he called us once again and told us the airport person is calculating as double the weight due to its size and the revised volume weight was 80 kgs per box, beliving his words and due to cargo urgency we asked him renegotiate with airport person for reducing the weight, he came back and informed us that he has fixed 58 kgs per box and the total weight is 754 kgs and revised charges are rs.61390 and asked us pay the difference amount of rs.19378, which we have paid on 21st nov 18.
From then we were asking for air way bill no and cargo details and chennai contact name, he refuse to give and started telling stories like upload packages etc.. Which was very confusing, whenever we ask for the flight details he used give the same upload reason and finally he send us mumbai chennai flight details as “flight no 9w 361/821 jet airways” which was wrong, he stopped answering our calls from then.
On 23rd morning we received a call from a person at chennai central railway station informing the arrival of our 13 boxes and the same was delivered from railway station at chennai meenambakkam, when we enquired about the rail details, they informed that the cargo was booked on 21st nov mid night by chennai/mumbai mail and the same was reached chennai on 23rd morning.
We were shocked to know about this news and we were cheated by express world wide courier very badly, and the cargo was moved by rail instead of air, their intentions are not good we would request you to take appropriate action against them and request them to refund the money after adjusting the rail courier charges, which is roughly rs.20000.
