[Resolved]  Fair Deal - Hp Gas Agency, Sant Nagar, East Of Kailash, New Delhi — Misleading and overcharging

Dear HP Team, My name is Arindam, I registered for a gas connection in Fair Deals Gas Agency on 1st May 2014. The operator there charged me Rs. 250 on the same day after registration and told me to come back again after 10-15 days for a confirmation and inquiry at my residence. I did as he suggested, but to my surprise, there I came to know after 15 days (or probably more) that the Rs. 250 that I paid was supposed to be paid after 15 days (that is, the day I was re-visiting the agency) and not on the day of registration, and they claimed that I had not paid anything as I did not have a receipt of that Rs. 250 amount which I paid on the day of registration. The person who did my registration on 1st May 2014, had asked for the money that day and did not say anything about a receipt that time, I was only given the Registration Letter and I presumed that it was a proof that I had paid the amount. Because of this today I had to pay Rs. 250 more. If this is the way to handle a customer's ignorance about a certain procedure then I must say this is very disappointing and disgusting.
