Dear sir/madam,
I am writing this complaint against Flipkart internet pvt ltd with utmost disappointment as their customer care executive(s) misled me by giving wrong information on purchase of warranty extension for TV.
I have purchased a TV on August 7th 2021 with order ID: OD[protected] and within 30 minutes of purchase I realised that the product has only 1 year of warranty, we can purchase the 2 year extension by paying extra charges, however I could not see the option to buy it, so I called customer care executive & told them my concern asking that whether I can buy it now or should I need to cancel & order the product again with extension warranty service. And I was told that I will get the option to purchase the warranty extension service within 48 hours of the product delivery on the App as well the link will be sent by SMS. However I didn’t get the option to do so, when I again called them asked they told that I will get the option within 7 days of delivery but I didn’t get it till 6th day also. When I called them again, they said that there is no guarantee that I will get such option or not.
Because of the flipkart customer care executive’s wrong information multiple times, I can neither purchase the extension warranty nor return the product.
Please help me to understand if there is any legal ground to make them accountable for misleading customers by providing wrong information about the product.
