I have booked a 2bhk flat in godrej hillside2 (Baner mahalunge), in march 2020, paid rs 586181.84 in 3 parts as:
1. Adv booking amount : rs 200000 /-
2. Express token: rs 100000 /-
3. Within 30 days of booking: rs 286181.84 /-
Stamp-stamp duty is not paid yet because i have requested for "cancellation" on june 30th, 2020 due to below reasons:
1. Godrej properties keeps changing "possession dates every time.
At the time of giving"adv booking amount "their sales team confirmed the possession time as"december 2022". But when they sent initial draft it was mentioned as 31st march 2023 and now they have changed to 31st october 2023 and it may get delayed due to covid-19 situation
2. I have am also stuck in india due to covid-19 issue only and not sure when i will be able to travel back, which is causing lot of financial issues and the loss of job in"australia". Though i am working here in india currently, my earning is less here.
3. Godrej properties is taking advantage of putting name of"rera"every time they want to change"possession date". They are taking advantage in the name of"covid-19"as well, but not giving same benefit to their customers. After explaining my current financial situation they should have given me other late-payment options but they want to charge 5% more on delayed payment.
Covid-19 have affected everyone, inducing customers who booked such an expensive properties while they were overseas and now not in a position to take"loan for such a huge amount" because now they cant return to their original job was in overseas country.
I want to file a lawsuit against godrej properties and i will be looking for support from many other customers, since they have denied to refund my amount which is rs. 5.86l. They are telling that the entire amount will be forfeited and considered as a cancellation charges. So much unfair.
