I have taken handover of my flat in Godrej Oasis in Dec 2019. Since then I have been pursuing registration of my flat with Godrej Propoerties. After much delay, I was asked to pay stamp duty charges in Dec 20 and registration of my flat was schduled on 28 Dec 20.
As I live another state, I made arrangements to travel by air and arrived in Gurgaon for the registration process. However on the day of reaching the Tehsil, I was informed by Godrej Properties that stamp duty rates have been increased by 2% and that is why registration is not happening. I paid the additional 2% stamp duty the very same day but the registration could not be undertaken. All this while I had to run behind the Godrej Properties relationship manager for undertaking the registration but she was clueless and had no idea why the registration process could not be undertaken even after paying revised stamp duty.
In Apr 21, Godrej Properties again contacted me that registration process had started for Oasis and that I should plan the registration of my flat. In end Jun 21 I informed the team that I could travel to Gurgaon in mid Jul to undertake the registration. I asked Godrej Propoerties to schedule the registration only after all clearances were in place since I had to travel by flight with my spouse from outstation and since I had already had a bad experience in Dec 20. I was assured by the team that all clearances were in place and that the registration would be planned on 14 Jul 21.
However, on reaching Gurgaon I was informed on 13 Jul 21 that the registration was not happening on 14 Jul as there was a server issue. I nevertheless visited the Tehsil on 14 Jul 21 and fould out that registration process was in progress normally and there were no server issues at the Tehsil office.
On enquiring from Godrej Propoerties between 14 to 16 Jul 21, I got to understand that due to a tax payment issue in the No dues Management System of Haryana, token for registration is not being issued to Godrej Properties from 12 Jul 21. I was informed that the tax had already been paid and an objection to the tax demand has been raised with MCG and till the tax payment was updated by the Govt Dept, the registration cannot be scheduled.
I asked my relationship manager as to why was I called from outstation if all clearances were not in place and that too this happened for the second time. But the response of the relationship manager was just a 'SORRY SIR'. Is this what Godrej Properies calls 'CUSTOMER CENTRICITY'?
Would a sorry have been acceptable to Godrej Properties if I had not made the payments in time? Despite having written several emails on the patheic and lethargic customer service, I have not received any email or call from the senior management.
I have sought compensation from Godrej Propoerties for the travel costs incurred by me for the two futile trips to Gurgaon from my place of residence for failing to undertake registration of my flat on the dates planned by Godrej Properties.
