I made the mistake of booking a flat in Godrej Nest in Kandivali East, Mumbai in July 2021. In August 2021 I was offered admission to an executive MBA course at Indian School of Business whose fees is appx 36 lacs as it’s India’s best MBA school. Due to this I requested Godrej Properties to cancel my booking and refund my token amount of Rs.5.00 lacs. It has been more than 2 months since my request and online complaint with them, but they have not returned a penny and are threatening to forfeit the amount. I am sure that a token amount paid without any registered agreement between the two parties to a contract is fully refundable since the simple letter exchanged without payment and f any stamp fee does not constitute a valid and legally enforceable contract. Moreover, I have a valid and genuine reason for my inability to move ahead with the deal. I will take this matter to every possible electronic media, social media and financial world in general and ensure that Godrej Properties are not allowed to loot other people. Shameful behaviour on part of their sales staff.
Kindly look into this matter urgently or I shall be forced to take it up directly with MoF and PMO.
