Godrej Properties — Refund of token and initial booking amount before agreement

Due to personal reasons, I needed to cancel the booking of 1 BHK booked during prelaunch. Had given token of Rs 50, 000/- before allocation, and on allocation day suddenly found out that the prices were out of the budgets/quots informed to me prior to the allocation day. This included the prelaunch discount also. The RM informed that it is (price hike) the management's decision. Due to the urgency for the allocations, and confusion about the hiked prices, I decided to choose the flat number and speak to management regarding the surprise 'hike in prices on allocation day'. After due thought to the whole thing, in few days, I met the sales team and requested for higher management officer. In due course after discussion we came to decision that both parties are not happy on the issue, hence I decided to cancel the booking. I asked for refund of the token amount and booking money of 5.5% along with the cancellation. This is before any signing of agreement to sale/ giving approval to the flat being discussed.

On asking for refund, they said complete money will be forfeited as there is no refund policy with godrej.

Kindly help in this regard.
