I paid 2 lakhs which is 5% as an application amount on 28th July 2021 in Godrej Upavan. Unfortunately due to personal reason, which the sales and CRM team are aware of, I am unable to continue with my booking. The ridiculous part is, I informed my CRM on 7th July about my inability to buy the flat as I do not have funds to do so. He very slyly responded that it sounds a genuine issue and that he will discuss with the management and get back. I was relieved and glad I made a right choice. But to my surprise the very next day, he sends me a reminder to pay other 5% of allotment amount. And that is not it, without receiving the allotment money, he also sends me the allotment confirmation/letter after 2 days. When I replied with surprise of his sudden efficiency, he informs me that the money will be forfeited. He tells me about their policies.
So Godrej, the oldest consumer brand and apparantly because of which it has a reputation of being people's brand and trust worthy, all of sudden are just like any other builder out there in the market who do not care what a common man actually is going through but about their business and sales. They are interested in making profits by forfeiting customers application money and on interest that they will forcefully levy after ignoring to resolve the issue on time. I have send emails to top management and haven't received a single response yet.
The best part is, I am already invested in other Godrej property in Pune. If I had to just make an excuse to exit I would have for both. But I guess they care a least, customer or no customer.
I don't understand why make customer's life miserable if they choose to cancel at such an early stage. This is mental torture and harrasment. Was this information helpful? |
