HDFC Bank Bank Fastag — first time user registration says "no records"

I got my Fastag chip sometimes on December'17. Till now contentiously trying to register, but it always says no records. I tried contacting the customer care number printed on the chip card. But nobody picks up the call. I have no clue what to do now. Wasted the money, I feel. Never thought a reputed bank, like HDFC, will have such a pathetic service in a particular department. Usually they are good in core banking sector. But here they definitely failed.

My application reference no. is HFR013867.

HDFC team: if you are listening, please enable my chip records ASAP. As I am unable to register and unable to recharge, I have to wait in the queue in toll booths and pay and go. Please resolve the issue.

FASTAG CUSTOMER ID[protected]

CONCERNS:
1. HDFC issued FASTAG RFID NOT WORKING PROPERLY
2. NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE FASTAG "FIRST TIME REGISTRATION" through HDFC portal- - ERROR- NO RECORD

I was offered FASTAG (with an initial balance of Rs200) by HONDA dealer in Hyderabad when I purchased new car in Dec 2019. The FASTAG kit included RFID card and an instruction paper. I received a welcome e-mail with Customer ID and Wallet ID details from HDFC. Everything went smooth until I realized the RFID was not working properly at the toll gates. Out of several attempts, the card was detectable only a couple of times. When I faced problem with the card at the toll gates, I've no other option given by the toll collection authority except to pay double toll charges. At some toll gates, I was advised to re-charge even though there was balance in my account. Now, I tried to check my account on HDFC portal https://fastag.hdfcbank.com/RetailRoadUserLogin/Index?_ga=2.[protected].[protect... by completing 'first- time registration' but no luck. Though I fetched correct details like Customer ID, Wallet ID or Mobile no. and Captcha, the screen displays an error message 'No record'. Concerned authorities, request you to please look into this problem.

We have checked at our end and did not find any issue. Your Cust ID is Customer ID:[protected] and Wallet ID is [protected]. Please follow below steps by visiting www.hdfcbank.com/fastag Individual customer to click on Retail Login and then click on the option of First Time User on the home page of the FASTag portal. Enter any 2 details of the following fields displayed; Customer ID (Customer ID is 12 digits numeric number which is mentioned in the Welcome Emailer & starts with 17xxxxxxxxxxx) RFID number (RFID is 16 digits numeric number which is mentioned on the FASTag & starts with 6xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) Wallet ID (Wallet ID is 14 digits numeric number which is mentioned in the Welcome Emailer & starts with 17xxxxxxxxxxx) Vehicle ID (vehicle number, Ex -MH00AA1111). Enter mobile number, which provided at the time of applying for FASTag and click on Next Step. Click on Generate OTP (One Time Password) option which will be sent to the registered mobile number for authenticating the request of password generation. On successful validation of the OTP, the portal will then prompt to enter the new password which is to be set. (Password has to be in the combination of alphanumeric, one special character, one alphabet in capital and minimum 8 characters in length to a maximum of 20 characters, example [protected]@2017) Select minimum 3 secret questions from a drop-down menu & provide an appropriate answer and then click on continue to complete the registration to access FASTag account. Automatically Login Page will be displayed where the customer needs to login with User ID and new Password to access FASTag account.

Please stop sending these generic replies and try to prove your customer support. These will not help in any way. Please try to resolve the issues. I think in India there is no proper platform to put a check on fraud/ unfair/passive customer service or responses. Even CONSUMER COMPLAINTS.IN also fails in this regard to protect consumer rights. ALL ARE GENERIC ANSWERS or SYSTEMA AUTOMATED ANSWERS. I'm sorry. I'm very much frustrated.

No luck till date. Every time I tried to follow the instruction you given in here, but it says No Records. BTW, know that I didn't receive any welcome mail. So I don't know my customer ID. Only the envelop I received from you has the RFID chip and a instruction paper which describes how to fix in the windshield. The chip has only hand written wallet ID and printed RFID no on it. I tried to register with wallet ID, RFID no and my vehicle number. But it says no records. I tried to call the number[protected] written in the RFID chip, but nobody picks up. Can you please activate my RFID and send the details with customer ID to my mail (puspenjit at gmail dot com) or call my number. I attached the screenshot for ur reference.

I booked the fast tag on the first week of Dec-2019 since its compulsory from 15 after a first extension. I uploaded my details with payment of 500 rs, received the welcome kit and tried to login . Today the date is 03 -Jan -2020, till this time no luck.

The worst service from the HDFC, if you people cant support on the customer support number ( toll free)provided, don't cheat the people .

I got a number from website who is in charge of Karnataka - not picking call at all .

Looting the money and not providing the support .

I am getting a blank screen without any menu and here is the attached screen.

I tried contacting the customer care number printed on the chip card also in website . But nobody picks up the call. I have no clue what to do now. Wasted the money, I feel. Never thought a reputed bank, like HDFC, will have such a pathetic service in a particular department.

when No option to get service through customer care i approached HDFC bank directly, But even in Bank employees not capable to service this kind of issue . I send mail to fastag one pay customer care from there also no service received . I have no Idea how to resolve this issue .

I was also having the same problem, try to register without inserting your vehicle number, you will be able to register.

So many people reported the same error and no clear and permanent reply from your end.

It's not problem please call customer care just verify your wallet id with them you will come to know wallet and customer ID mail to you and system id is different therefore it's showing no records once you get right id from customer care issue will be resolve it's done for me customer care HDFF should circulate this message to entire team it's working.
I found one possible solution for this problem. I was also getting "no record" .
Tried a lot of things but still was getting "no records"
Finally I noticed that the "RFID No" asked in the form did not match with anything in the letter which came with fastag. So I tried without the RF ID No. Kept it black and the pressed continue - IT WORKED !!!

I know if it vain to rejoice at such a small thing but you all will be able to relate. I was frustrated to not be able to use this fastag for several months. You would ask why didnt you call the customer service ? But seriously? customer service is a joke, they reply with canned messages without even reading your problem and say all is fine at our end.

So folks, try with RF ID no as blank in your registration form, it may work as it did in my case.
