I’m a customer of Hdfc bank for 13 years and I’ve been holding a Salary account initially and now a Savings account.
I’d received a phone call from one of HDFC staff on 15/10 offering an auto approved HDFC Credit Card. When I replied I wasn’t interested, the staff said the card has already been approved, if I don't need she will close it . Thereafter, she said she will send me a link and asked me to click Submit in the form .
As I’m not familiar with Credit Cards, I completely trusted your staff’s words and submitted the form . When I opened the link it was a form for credit card online request. When I enquired about that she said she will be able to close the card only if i submit the form. Since I never used credit card in my lifetime, I completely believed her words and submitted the form.
Thereafter, she called me to inform that reference number was received at her end and she would be able to close the card. She Promised me as well.
But on 16/Oct I got a credit card in mail box and today I got an OTP to generate pin for the credit card. Also got a message stating my credit card is shipped via bluedart. At that point of time only, I realised that to make me get the credit card HDFC bank Staff played a cheap game
Immediately, I tried reaching the customer care and with hdfc reaching a customer care executive is climbing a mountain and with so much of pain I was connected to an executive and she said that was a different department.
I told her I was not able to reach the credit card department and asked her to connect and she said she cannot and disconnected the call at once.
I strongly believed that my ignorance on credit cards has been misused by HDFC bank staff.
I'm deeply disappointed with this activity of hdfc executives.I just can’t believe that how come renowned banks like HDFC cheating customers to apply for credit cards.
I raised 3 complaints with HDFC since Saturday (17/Oct) regarding this issue. I haven't received any response so far. I did not pick up the courier person call and I want the card to be returned to the bank. I want Hdfc bank to close the card without any additional charges
I would strongly advise hdfc bank team to teach their executives to behave well with customers, respect the customer’s phone calls and most importantly refrain cheating customers to meet their target.
Of late, I’ve been facing so many issues with HDFC. This is because I was a salaried customer before and now am not. So much of deductions every month for not maintaining the balance. HDFC wants their customers to maintain a minimal balance of 10k.This is not the case with other banks. Also their customer care numbers are not reachable.
To be honest, I would say, this is one of the very worst customer service that I have seen ever.
