In my cr. Card statementdt.16/07/2017 i had outstanding of rs10000/=, i was out of india for 4 months, i returned on 6 sept.2017 to india from canada. My son had already paid rs.10000/= in aug.2017, but in staement of aug 16, you charged interest & penalty of rs. 950=85, though he paid little late, but you must consider my past records. Since i am holding your card i never missed to pay, and i had paid full amount everytime, i did not opt to pay instalments. Verified Support Sep 19, 2017 HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer, We wish to clarify that, payment of atleast the minimum amount due towards the card outstanding needs to be received by the bank to ensure that the card account is active and available for usage. Further, to avoid levy of finance charges and late payment charges, payment of the total outstanding needs to reach the bank by the payment due date. We have reviewed your request and confirm having reversed the bank charges of Rs.930.87 billed to your card account in the month of August and September 2017 statement.
