I received a call from hdfc bank rep. Couple of weeks back requesting me to apply for a free credit card through netbanking, i obliged and applied for millennia cc. After a couple of days a representative from the bank visited me at my residential address for verification and after about an hour after the verification i received a message saying that my "application is declined" (App:20h[protected]s2). After a couple of days i receive a call again from hdfc cc rep. Saying that since i applied for the cc online my application was rejected and if i apply for the same physically my application will be approved, so i asked them to send a rep. To my home for submitting a new application (App: 20i[protected]s2). The rep visited me and collected all the docs. And also did verification at my work place and i was again rejected. They are repeatedly calling me and harassing me to apply for the cc everyday for the past one week and each time i get rejected they don't provide a proper reason for it. I have also submitted a complaint regarding this on their bank website as well and haven't heard from them. This is absurd, if the issue isn't resolved at this level, i will definitely escalate it to rbi ombudsman.
