[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Failed transaction amount refund

On 13th May, there was a debit transaction done from my Debit Card for HDFC bank account number [protected]. The total amount deducted was 4637.00 Rupees. The transaction was failed but money was deducted from my account and the merchant says the transaction was cancelled. I still didnt get my money back even after 11 days.

HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer,
As on May 30, 2017 the amount has not been claimed by the acquiring bank. In case the acquiring bank does not claim the transaction amount by the 16th day, the amount will be re-credited to your account.
In case, you do not find any credit to your account after the above-mentioned time frames (as applicable), we request you to refer to the Dispute process as follows:
Kindly fill in the Card holder Dispute form & the proof that you have attempted to resolve the dispute with the Merchant ( (i.e. Email comm.or letter) and fax it across to us on[protected] to the kind attention of Charge-back Unit mentioning the reference number in the subject line of this e-mail, so that we can initiate a charge-back. Please write back to us confirming the date when you have faxed the same, to enable us to confirm its receipt.
