I had an account in hdfc which was started when i was in my first company. I left the job nearly 2 years back. And there after i withdrawn all the amount in the account since i will not be

Receiving any more funds and not going to use further. Now when i got to check the account details i see that there is a negative balance of above rs -9000 in it.

Above this all i went to close acount in one of the branches near by.. They told me that i have to go to home branch to close account. I tyesterday visited home branch.. They even not giving me

Statement of my account where i can see negative balance so that i can approch to rbi with complaint.

This is rediculous. Hdfc's policies and employees are made to mentally harrash customers.

And your bank officials are not ready to coordinate with customers at all... If it is so.. Stop showing of that you care about customers... East street bank official said i have to pay nearly rs. 10000 to"close my acount",, whaaat??? Are you kidding? When there was not a single activity happening in account... No internet banking in active on it... Not a single rupee was in the account..
That account should have gone dead... How sooo much negative balance got accumulated in it?? And toi clearly says that in such case no negative balance imposed as well as no charges are applied

(Including negative charges) in case of customer wanted to resume the salary account??? But the officers at bank are not in the position to listen to what customer has to say also...
And your site.. So called customer care portal... Allow customers to write problem in only"1000 words"... How creative is this way to trouble customers mentally...

Why customers are always forced to go through the banking ombudsman and write to rbi about thease kind of problems??
This is not good policy..
I want all negative charges on my account to be taken off.. As its not allowed i guess from rbi, when acount balance is zero.. And in my case its zero for almost 2 years.

Have stopped using registered mobile number more than a year ago.. When i went to close my account and asked to give me written statement (Printout of negative charges, so that i can complain to ombudsman) they said they cant give me even statement of an account.. (Even though i personally went there with proper id card... They forced me to update mobile number and told me it will get updated in one week... Whaat?? It takes one week to update mobile number?? When i personally went there?? Not ever through customer care.. They asked me to update number to get statement of account... Where getting statement is useless because m getting statements via mail.. And id says zero closing balance.. And not rs -9000.
