Hello team,

Yesterday i got a call from a person who was saying that he is from hdfc credit department and he was telling me that i have a hdfc credit card whose bill is pending around 70k. The card number that he was telling me i was totally unaware of the card number. I had only one credit card which i lost and got that card blocked already in the month of may 2017 with all the bill settled. I am a loyal customer of hdfc bank from past 4yrs and still have an active account with them.
I always use my netbanking and the only credit card registered in my netbanking was the one that i had lost and got that blocked.
At the moment i am not residing in the country and the agent who called me from the numbers [protected] and [protected] humilated me without providing any details of the card when it was issued and who was the receiver and where it has been used.
He had all my new contact/work details and when i asked for the details of the card he was not able to provide. The email address and the contact number that was there on his records were not mine.
My concern is that how a card was issued under my name without my concent? Why it was not updated/linked in my still active hdfc account?
Why any bank or bank official contacted me when i was in india regarding this card?
Main concern:how that person has access to all my confidential details outside india and within india as well.
Please help me in getting this issue resolved as it is appearing to be a fraud case.

Hello Manoj,

Thanks for the response.
I am not aware of the exact card details but the agent provided me the last 4 digits of the card that I have already mailed on the above mentioned email address.Also I have shared my active HDFC account details in the email.
If anything other information is required please let me know.
