[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — HDFC life cheating customers by sending wrong policy notes and not refunding money back

Hi i am sunil katke from mumbai, policy no: 18958797. I had applied for a hdfc click to protect plus plan with sum assured of 2cr + 2cr on accidental death. I gave all documents regarding my medical history, my earlier policy rejection related emails to the employee harishchandra vyapari [protected] and ashish from vikhroli mumbai branch. They took 3 months time post providing all documents they asked (Have supporting of details sent with dates) to provide me the insurance cover note which i received on 27th march 2017. To my surprise, the policy note data regarding my historical health data, historical policy rejection data and such 4 to 5 important data was mentioned wrongly / incorrectly. I raised the alarm same day and sent a detailed mail to hdfc ([protected]@hdfclife) and the 2 employees (Mentioned above) same night. They didnt respond. I called them the other day for which they said, dont worry sir, i will speak to the underwriter and get the changes done, they may have entered these details wrongly (Have phone recording of these conversations). I said ok, please do the corrections and get me the correct policy note issued as a policy note with incorrect data carries no value if something happens to me. Hdfc life will simply highlight the mistakes and reject the claim raised by my nominee (Where even after paying all premiums on time the insurance will be of no use). With this i gave them 15 days time to get the corrections done. I also told them if these corrections are not done then what?, they said if its not done i will get your full refund done.in between i called them for taking a follow up for which i always was told we are getting it done in a day or two. Finally the 15th day came, i had lost faith and trust on hdfc life and decided to raise a cancellation request (Else the free look period will be over and i will be left with a incorrect policy note and will have to bare the loss of entire rs. 42200 premium i paid) just to make sure i get what ever money i can. I received rs. 31000 credit back few days ago. Now my question to all is.. Why should i bare the loss of rs. 11000 when i had given all details as demanded by them in time, i wanted to continue with the policy had they made corrected their mistakes in 15 days time. Since they failed i was forced to cancel my policy to ensure i dont loose the entire money for some one elses mistakes / fraud. After this i raised a complaint at [protected]@hdfclife for which they reverted saying nothing can be done now.

This means hdfc life can cheat people by issuing a in correct policy note. If some one sees the mistakes and cancels it within 15 days its not going to hurt hdfc life as the customers money will be deducted for the stamp duty paid, or life cover which never existed since the information mentioned was wrong. And if some one didnt go through the policy note and fail to cancel the policy withing 15 days then the customer will be left with a wrong policy note and entire premium amount will be a loss with no life cover (As hdfc life will highlight these mistakes when the nominee raises a claim in future and they can simply reject the claim and enjoy the free premiums)

I guess hdfc life has come out with such cheap tactics to get premiums at the same time they wont be liable to settle the claim. Well done guys. I am going to shift all my / family accounts with hdfc, loans, investments etc to a genuine company.

I request all not to fall pray to such a fraud company. There are better genuine insurance companies that have decency to follow ethics.

I have black listed hdfc life forever and i am going legal with all supporting i have to make them pay 1000 times more than the amount they have not yet refunded.

are you kidding me, boss, please go through the complaint i have written, i have mentioned [protected]@hdfclife name and their non response / default responses like a auto mailer. its of no use sending emails to [protected]@hdfclife as the person responding seems to be sending stereotype emails without reading the complaints. surprised to receive the same stereotype message from you without reading my complaint too... god help HDFClife.. its a good organisation in bad people hand...
