Sub – severe frauds to sell insurance by hdfc life broker

Dear all,
This is to highlight the grave frauds by agents and broker of hdfc life, below i am narrating the entire story how i and my family has been cheated.
My name is danish absar. I received a call from a person named as gaurav walia around 24th jan 17 and he explained me a plan named hdfc life sanchay with following benefits:-
1. Inr 32, 000 is to be paid annually for 5 years only, after on completion of 6th year i can withdraw and i will get an amount of inr 252585 and if i keep it till 15 years, i will get inr 545380. But he said he understand that 15 years is a long period therefore he also recommends to stay for 5 years.
2. Also in addition to this he claimed to be calling from hdfc life direct office (He gave me the address as plot no 131/140, first floor, ansal chamber, bikaji cama palace, new delhi and not from a broker therefore following additional benefits will be provided to me.
A. Commission 30% of 32000 to be refunded to me for 3 years as i am buying this policy from direct company and no broker involved. Also he said that as a privilege hdfc customer he will put a request of entire 3 years amount in one go. This commission will directly come in my account through neft.

B. A mediclaim benefit for me and my family till 15 years, this will be covered for myself and my 5 family members for an amount of 15000 per month can be claimed. This includes opd bills, medical tests, medicine bills etc. He said i will get cards for all individuals printed when i get the policy bond paper.
Also he spoke about various payment options, since i am a hdfc bank credit card holder he said i can get the instalments also interest free.
I did not want to take the policy initially as i already made investments for the financial year but he used convincing skills and gave me confidence.
Gaurav walia also gave me his address to create trust on him. He gave me his employee id as 014329, personal mobile no – [protected] and his address as house no – 78, pocket a, green valley apartment, sector 8 rohini, new delhi.
He also transferred call to a lady who claimed to be his senior manager and shared the same benefits multiple times to create interest.
I told her that i would like to find the details online but she said these benefits are exclusive for hdfc life direct sales and are not available online.
They immediately got me connected to another person called akash wadhwa, mob no – [protected] who claimed to be another manager who manages field executives. By evening 7pm, there was a person who came to collect my documents and i gave him my pan, voter id, cancelled cheque for commission to be neft, 2 photographs, credit card impression and photocopy. He told me to sign and just let him go. Akash wadhwa also called me to confirm about documents submission and told me to give rs 100 to field executive as he is hungry and does not have money which i gave.
I was told that i will get verification calls and i should not highlight the benefits mentioned apart from normal 32000 policy for 5 years and term is 15 years. Gaurav, punit and many others kept calling me and reminded me several times about this. They all used to say that if i disclose any of the benefits then i will not get commission and it will go to broker. I ended up doing the same. I received 2-3 verification calls and they asked me what i know about the policy and i never disclosed any benefit under their influence.
After that next day morning i received a call from gaurav again who connected me to another senior manager named punit malik – [protected], punit told me about very heavy benefits if i can make more investments to which i said no.
Punit malik gave me confidence that now processing will start and i should get my benefits soon. On 30th jan 17, 32000 were taken out from my credit card for hdfc standard life insurance. He also gave me his house address as d1/103, janakpuri b1, new delhi to gain trust.
After then i was told that i will get a policy welcome letter which is just to ensure that there are no clerical errors in database e. G. Dob, address, name etc of entire family. They said my mediclaim cards and a court insurance policy bond will only come after 25-30 days from mumbai.
Meanwhile in a week’s time i received a insurance policy kit by courier which was mentioned as welcome letter by them and i saw sum assured mentioned as inr 119572 and not the committed one. I called and checked with gaurav to which he said it is just a document from broker and my original amount of inr 252585 will be highlighted in policy bond papers.
Also i was happy with the benfits mentioned and gaurav asked me for few references and i gave my younger brother`s contact no and his wife. Upon my suggestion they also bought the same policy. Total we have 3 hdfc life sanchay policies in our house.
I was told that i can pay by credit card and later can convert into emis which will be interst free as they will credit the interest in my card directly once i pay the emis
I was regularly called and updated about progress and received calls also to know details of my family members for mediclaim purposes by a lady called harshita ([protected], [protected]). I received various calls from her and others on a regular basis to tell me that there is printing delay and i should get my everything by 30th mar.

On 29th mar i received a call from a female called mahi who called me from mobile no [protected], she said that she is calling from mayur vihar hdfc life office and they are checking with customers if i have received all documents or not due to financial year is closing. I told her that i have only received a welcome letter and my bond and medical cards are left. She then told me that i will not get any other document and there is no such benefit included at all. She told me that i am cheated and i should report this incident.
Yesterday 1st april my brother visited hdfc life office in new friends colony and met with manager there. They also said that we are cheated and there are several frauds going on by brokers. He told me that i will not get anything after five years but only after 15 years. He clarified everything in detail and told me to report the matter immediately.

I am a very old customer of hdfc bank. I have had my salary account in hdfc. I use hdfc credit card from about 12-13 years now. My friends are using hdfc credit cards and current accounts for their business purposes. I really like and promote the services hdfc provides but this time my family`s trust is shattered and i will not be recommending any hdfc product to anyone.
We are middle class salary earning family and cannot afford such frauds. We have been cheated for 32000*3 = 96000 by these people. We cannot even afford to pay it for 5 years like this and continue with the plan. We would like this to immediately terminate the policy and refund our hard earned money. We cannot continue a relation which is based on such frauds.
In feb 17, i am diagnosed with a neuro problem and under gone various tests mri brain, blood tests etc. I am on medication for the same and doctor will review in next month. I discussed this with gaurav and he told me that he will get all of them reimbursed. I have already mailed them all the documents of inr 25000 approx to be claimed under the mediclaim he mentioned.

This is my request to take this matter up immediately. We would want a fraud case to be registered in these people`s name. They should be penalised and appropriate legal action to be taken.

Though i have mentioned everything in detail but we can discuss this further if required.
I am also mentioning the numbers form which i received these calls. I am sure recordings can also be fetched for the sales.
