Customer ID 5301673.I was a classic customer.I had joint account with my wife.She never operated the account .I had issued a cheque in favour of my broker.Bank dishonoured the cheque on the ground that my wife's adhar details has not been updated.I had to incur losses.Written complaint letters to customer care.Not received satisfactory reply.My debit card was blocked.
I withdrew my money from the bank leaving a minimum balance necessary for savings bank account.I requested the bank to take away the facilities given to me as a classic customer .The bank through a mail confirmed that that facilities has been withdrawn.Currently I have around Rs.15, 000/- in my savings bank account n have a fixed deposit of Rs.1, 00, 000/- (maturity value Rs.1, 50, 000/-).
Today I received a message from BH-HDFCBK asking me to maintain the minimum balance.Failing which non maintenance charge shall be levied.
As classic customer facilities have been withdrawn, why should I pay the maintenance charge?
Kindly look in to the matter n reply.
