I bought few products from a online shopping site in december first week 2017 and the payment was made by net banking via hdfc debit card.
Due to size mismatch i returned the products and claimed for refund from the shopping vendor. The shopping vendor confirmed that the refund has been initiated and shared necessary proof of refund with me.
I waited for 5 business days to reflect the amount in my account as it usually takes 3-4 working days to reflect the amount in account. After this period i reached out to hdfc net banking nodal officer for bangalore - mr binod.
He advised me to drop a mail with all necessary proofs to hdfc grievance redressal cell and i did the same.
And it all started from there the chain of follow ups. I followed up almost 5-6 times with the grievance redressal cell and every time i got auto generated mails that the issue is being worked upon and will be responded in 5 working days but they never came back with any resolution nor did the amount reflect ed in my account. When i again followed up on the mail chain, the response came that they have raised a charge back and the amount will reflect by feb 1. However nothing happened by feb 1. When i again followed up, they responded that they are working upon it and will respond by 5 working days.
Its been almost two month that i am chasing hdfc bank for refund of my money.
