This is to inform that i feel being tortured by hdfc life. I made a payment towards my policy no. 15281371 in june 2017 and i received a payment receipt intimation from them too. After 2 weeks the payment was returned back to my account which i did not see and as the policy showed "in force" status online so it was ok. After 6 months i get a policy lapsed notice from them stating that i did not make a payment towards the policy. I have simple question why did hdfc life did not lapse the policy immediately after a month of non-payment. Why did i get an email in 1st week of april 2018 that my policy was lapsed. It looks clearly from your hdfc end that they wanted to loot the money from customer and waited for that much time. Also in case if i would have expired during this long tenure of 6 months and if my family would have tried to claim the money, they would have rejected the payment. This is the quality of hdfclife.
I also agreed to make the payment but they say that they want full payment with penalty charges which i disagree to pay. Actually their whole aim is to extract extra bucks out from customers.
I would request in this forum to all not to buy their products and also i will take this matter with the consumer court.
