Iam holding the dmat account with hdfc bank opened in 2015 and inoperative since 1 year but deducting the annual charges, i requested them to close the account on 08nov2016 but replied that mail has to be sent from the registered mail id, i am requesting the same through registered mail id only but they are not accepting my request with the same reason. Recently i contacted the dp operation team in hyderabad and realized that "at the time of account opening they wrongly updated my mail id and requested them to change the same on immediate basis after regular followup done the same.
Once again i initiated the account closure to the dp team but they said due amount has to be paid to close the account.
My question is" wrong mail updation was done at bank end and additionally charges levied and i have been following up the same since one year".
Please look into this matter on priority, please close the dmat account and waive off the charges levied on account.
