[Resolved] HDFC Bank — unauthorized account charges

I had a salary account with hdfc in the year 2009 when i was working with my first company. Later, moved out and joined some other company. It's been more than 3+ years i haven't done any transaction in hdfc or hardly remember about the account details. Now when i joined my new company where they want me to open hdfc salary account i am unable to do due to my old account negative balance which was not aware and closed. When i contacted bank, they asking me to pay 8000 inr for closing the account. Please suggest what step needs to be taken in this scenario as i need to open the account asap as i didn't receive my salary because of this from last 2 months.
