[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Unnecessary membership fees charged on my hdfc life time free credit card without informing me.

Hi,

I have get a new HDFC Life Time Free Credit Card. But out my surprise Rs. 570/- charged on my credit card account without any kind confirmation/intimation to me as Membership fees. Now I am struggling with HDFC Customer Care to get it deactivated for this unwilling membership fees reversal.
I need a help to get this membership deactivated and do a reversal of membership fees.

My Complain was:

Without my confirmation Membership fees Rs. 750 has been added in my card. Why this has been added?
I want immediate reversal of this fees.
As confirmed verbally, that this card has no associated hidden charges. Its absolutely Free. And now I am afraid of having some more hidden charges. So I want to surrender this card post reversal of this unknown hidden charges. Please let me know the process.

This is with reference to your e-mail regarding your HDFC Bank International Credit Card.

We understand your query pertaining to membership fee in your card, we observe from our records that you are holding MONEY BACK credit card and your card will be first year free or life time free by opting the below given options,

Option 1 : First Year Free card will be offered if you do 3 retail transaction in 90 days from the card setup date.

Option 2 : Life Time Free Card will be offered if you register your credit card for any one of the below products within 90 days from the card set up date.
Smartpay one bill registration (or)
One Assist (or)
Add-on Card (or)
Credit Shield / Card Sure ( or)
PayZapp activation with one transaction (or)
General Insurance

In view of the above threshold the membership fee has ben levied. We seek your understanding in this regard.

They did not inform me previously about these terms and condition. I already told him that i will not use credit card regularly but they told me that you can use as per your requirement and it is life time free no hidden charges will add.

My bill due date is 4th July 2017. I will not pay these unusual charge.
