I brought honda elevate zx cvt from courtesy honda (lally automobiles india pvt ltd) in wazirpur delhi
Car booked on 7th December and delivered on 17 december.
After activating honda connect app at home i noticed purchase date is showing 7nov instead of December, warranty also already started and service already due.
Dealer said its technical error from honda connect, but when they sent me bill for accessories the warranty start date is same old November date.
Finally after complaining and a lot of arguments they agreed that they had ‘billed’ the car ‘to honda’ to ‘capture maximum discount’ for the car.
I have unreasonably lost 1 month of warranty, 1 month of honda connect subscription, 1 month worth resale value, and i still dont know if they sold me an old car or new.
Nothing was informed to me beforehand regarding this issue, this is a highly unethical malpractice by the dealer. That has not been resolved even after contacting Honda.
In return dealer said they will email from dealer id that they will cover one month warranty, and no other satisfactory response or evidence that is not an old car has been offered by dealer. They have also stopped replying to communication regarding this.
Its less about warranty loss and more about principle of fairness because hiding facts is just plain cheating, complaining directly to honda has been so far fruitless as well. Anyone who reads this i strongly urge you to stay away from courtesy honda (lally automobiles) any branch, and honda cars india as a company, there are much better options out there.
