Nature of the Issue:
The infotainment system (Alpine) of my vehicle has been malfunctioning since purchase, causing significant inconvenience. The key issues include:
GPS Freezing & System Hanging: The GPS stops responding during travel, leading to missed turns and unnecessary detours of 5-10 km due to a frozen navigation system.
Malfunctioning CarPlay & Phone System: The system randomly freezes, making it impossible to make calls or use essential features.
Repeated Failure Despite Replacement: The dealer replaced the infotainment unit, yet the same issue persists, indicating a manufacturing defect.
Deficient After-Sales Service & Harassment:
I have provided multiple video proofs of the issue, yet Honda and its dealers refuse to acknowledge the defect.
Repeated dealership visits have wasted my time and fuel, yet there has been no commitment to a permanent resolution.
Honda’s technical team has visited multiple times at my workplace and home, disturbing my work and personal time, only to collect data without resolving the issue.
The dealers keep insisting on joint road trials but fail to explain why the video evidence has been ignored.
Neither dealer nor Honda is taking responsibility for providing a clear solution or compensation for the inconvenience caused.
Relief Sought:
I request the Consumer Redressal Forum to take strict action against Honda Cars India and its authorized dealers for selling a defective product and providing deficient service. I seek:
A permanent resolution to the infotainment system defect with a defined timeline.
Compensation for the mental harassment, inconvenience, and time wasted due to Honda’s negligence.
Reimbursement of fuel and travel expenses incurred due to repeated dealership visits and joint road tests.
Legal action against Honda and the dealers for failing to honor warranty commitments and providing a defective vehicle.
